Brad Keselowski without trembling in New Hampshire

Si Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing – Toyota) semblait avoir l’une des meilleures voitures hier sur le Magic Mile de Loudon (New Hampshire), c’est bien Brad Keselowski (Team Penske – Ford) who gradually got the better of the winner of the Daytona 500 to claim his third victory in 2020.

Winner of the first segment, Hamlin was unable to hold off Keselowski for the points in the second segment before the latter increased the pace at the end of the race, dominating the last 81 laps to win with more than 1" ahead of the finish line. Enough to also put an end to ten races without success for the driver of Roger Penske's team.

The Ford Mustang and Toyota Camry were the strongest last night, as Martin Truex Jr (Joe Gibbs Racing) took third place ahead of Joey Logano (Team Penske), Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing – Ford), Matt DiBenedetto (Wood Brothers Racing – Ford), Aric Almirola and Cole Custer (Stewart-Haas Racing).

The first Chevrolet Camaro, that of Chase Elliott (Hendrick Motorsports), took 10th place ahead of Tyler Reddick (Richard Childress Racing – Chevrolet). Much more difficult race for Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports) 12th after being notably involved in contact with Clint Bowyer (Stewart-Haas Racing).

Worse for Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing), since the outgoing champion finished in the wall after 15 laps following a puncture. Kyle Busch has yet to win a race this season and remains ranked 10th, still in the top 16 qualifying for the Chase.
