Busch calms the pack

The least favorite of the American drivers won on the oval of Richmond, Virginia, after a superb comeback throughout the 400 laps. Kyle Busch is thus celebrating his 24th birthday in the most beautiful way and affirms his status as a young wolf within the Nascar. This weekend, he distinguished himself in the two races on the program, the Nationwide and the Start Cup. In this one, Kurt?s little brother seized the race lead on the 351st lap, at the expense of Jeff Gordon, only to let it go in the last 49 laps of the track.

The big loser at the Richmond oval is Denny Hamlin (Toyota), who finished 14th after losing a lot of time changing tires. Kyle Busch, starting from 14th place, won at the end of 400 laps by showing clear domination, leaving the Chevrolets of Stewart, Burton, Newman and Martin at a distance. The Toyota driver moves up to fifth position in the general classification but it is still Jeff Gordon who occupies first place. Next race in Darlington (South Carolina) this weekend.
