Chase Elliott wins Bristol All-Star Race

If the All-Star Race does not offer any points in the race to qualify for the Chase in Nascar Cup Series, the financial reward of 1 dollars remains a more than appreciable prize for the competitors admitted to participate in the event.

Relocated this year to Bristol (Tennessee) after several years in Charlotte (North Carolina), due to the coronavirus pandemic, this non-championship event smiled on Chase Elliott (Hendrick Motorsports – Chevrolet) last night.

The latter put his name for the first time on the record of this always very special race, dominating 2019 Nascar champion Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing – Toyota), who was unable to close the entire gap built by Elliott in the second part of the 140 laps scheduled.

Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing – Ford), Brad Keselowski (Team Penske – Ford) and Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing) complete the final top 5. Note that Chase Elliott thus joins his father Bill in the history of Nascar, also winner of the All-Star Race in 1986. A family feat also achieved by Dale Earnhardt father and son.
