Chase Elliott winner of the Charlotte Roval

Chase Elliott (Chevrolet) dominated the Roval 400 in Charlotte (North Carolina) even if his race was not easy. The Hendrick Motorsports driver was off to a good start after winning the second segment, but poor braking caused him to shoot straight into a wall of tires.

The driver of the No. 1 Camaro ZL9 was nevertheless able to get back on track and move up the ranks to take the victory, his 3rd of the season and the 6th of his career.

Hendrick Motorsports even took the double on this road course which suited the Chevrolets well with Alex Bowman who put in an aggressive race. The driver of the No. 88 notably sent Bubba Wallace Jr (Chevrolet) into the background. The Richard Petty Motorsports resident went to explain himself to his rival after the race.
