Chris Buescher to replace Ricky Stenhouse Jr at Roush Fenway in 2020

End of an era at Roush Fenway Racing as Ricky Stenhouse Jr, who played in Nascar Cup Series for seven full seasons with Jack Roush's team, will leave the team at the end of the 2019 campaign.

The resident of the No. 17 Ford Mustang, who notably won two races in 2017, at Talladega and Daytona (the summer event), will be replaced in the seat by Chris Buescher, current driver of JTG Daugherty Racing. A return to his roots for the one who won the Xfinity Series in 2015 with Jack Roush.

“We have so much to talk about Ricky and his contributions to Roush Fenway Racing, underlines Jack Roush, co-owner of the team. We are proud to have been part of its development, from ARCA to the Xfinity Series and Cup Series.

He has been a great representative for our partners, while helping to accumulate numerous awards, victories and several championships. We wish him good luck for the next chapter of his career.

We have followed Chris' progress with great interest over the past two seasons and look forward to seeing him develop in the No. 17 as we expand our program next season. »
