Clint Bowyer announces his retirement

After 15 years of good and loyal service in the Cup series, Clint Bowyer will leave the seat of the cars of Nascar. The American pilot of the Stewart-Haas Racing ends his racing career and retrains as a consultant for Fox, at the age of 41.

« Life is full of opportunities. As I got older, I realized they were few and far between, and when they come, you have to recognize them." he explained in a long message published on social networks.

« Like so many years ago in this clothing store before the call of Nascar, I asked myself throughout this season: what next? Today I have a new opportunity to answer this question and I will take it. In 2021, my outfit will no longer be fireproof. I'll join the Fox booth on Sundays. » His reconversion is not a surprise, since the American spent more and more time in the Fox team this season.

As a driver, Clint Bowyer took his first steps in Nascar in 2004 in the the championship podium, including a runner-up place in 2005. His last success dates back to 2006, on the Brooklyn circuit.
