Hamlin gets the better of DiBenedetto at the end of the race at Bristol

Taking the lead on the 388th lap of the race yesterday, DiBenedetto remained at the front for nearly 100 laps, before losing big in contact with Ryan Newman (Roush Fenway – Ford) and seeing Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing – Toyota) pounce on him.

The latter will succeed in the decisive overtaking 11 laps from the finish to pocket a fourth victory in 2019. Di Benedetto, for his part, offers his best result of the year, and a third top 5 this season.

“I wanted to win so much for these guys, for this team, admitted DiBenedetto. I'm just grateful to have had this opportunity. It became complicated after the touch with Newman. »

Brad Keselowski (Team Penske – Ford) follows in third position ahead of Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) and the first Chevrolet Camaro of Chase Elliott (Hendrick Motorsports).
