We will have to wait until 2021 to see the current Gen6 car bow out and make way for the future Gen7. But the development of the latter continues at full speed with the official teams of the Nascar, two days of driving having been organized since yesterday in Phoenix (Arizona).
Joey Logano was called upon for the occasion. “I think I need to keep my mind open, the 2018 Cup Series champion said a few days ago.
I think a lot of it is just understanding, things about sustainability but also understanding what works and what doesn't work.
I would like, once we get to a certain point, to do longer runs just to see where things are going, but I think there are so many differences with the car that you have to get to grips with.
There are differences with the aero package, the tires will be a little different and things around handling, but we're still early in the development process.
With only one car there, it's difficult to give a take on one aerodynamic package versus another. I can't wait to get back in a race car. »
