Kasey Kahne takes the lead in Atlanta

Kasey Kahne managed to take pole on the Atlanta oval ahead of Clint Bowyer and Kyle Busch. Jimmie Johnson is only 17th.

Kasey Kahne takes the lead in Atlanta

Kasey Kahne (Red Bull Racing Team) s?est montré le plus rapide sur l?Atlanta Motor Speedway. Sa Toyota n°4 devance la Chevrolet n°33 de Clint Bowyer (Richard Childress Racing) et la Toyota n°18 de Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing), qui prend une bonne option pour garder les commandes de la Sprint Cup Series.

Brian Vickers (Red Bull Racing Team) will start from fourth place, which completes a very good session for his team. Jeff Gordon (Hendrick Motorsports) will start alongside him ahead of Matt Kenseth (Roush Fenway Racing), Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway Racing), Martin Truex Jr (Michael Waltrip Racing), Ryan Newman (Stewart-Haas Racing) and Kurt Busch (Penske Racing).

The other drivers in good form at the moment are a little further behind. Reigning champion Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports) only places his No. 48 Chevrolet in 17th position while Brad Keselowski (Penske Racing), last winner at Bristol, will start from 14th.
