Keselowski uses the hard way

The start of the race was marked by a ?Big One?. Expected by the fans, this major clash involved fourteen drivers including some favorites from the eighth lap including Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin and Kasey Kahne.

The rest was also lively with twenty-four different drivers passing in turn through first position.

After a long period of observation, the sprint began twenty laps from the finish. While trying to maintain his line, Kyle Busch went sideways, causing another yellow flag and losing a lap.

Restarted with thirteen laps to go, the race turned into a stressful draft competition. In the middle of the pack, Denny Hamlin touched Juan Pablo Montoya who crashed into Bobby Labonte. The chain reaction eliminated six other drivers including Jimmy Johnson and Martin Truex Jr.

Ryan Newman took the lead again with four laps to go accompanied by Dale Earnhardt Jr. The two drivers managed to open up a small gap before the white flag until Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski appeared at the top of the line. Both drivers took the lead on the final lap.

Keselowski tried to find the opening outside then inside but Edwards closed the door. Inevitable, the collision raised the Ford of Carl Edwards which bounced on the Chevrolet of Ryan Newman and stopped a few meters from the finish.

Brad Keselowski won for the first time ahead of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Ryan Newman.

In the championship, Kurt Busch takes the lead thanks to his sixth position, five points ahead of Jeff Gordon.
