As is tradition, the season will begin with the most prestigious event of the season, the Daytona 500, on February 16. This inaugural round will follow the Clash, held two weeks earlier, and which does not count towards the championship. This exhibition event will this time be held on the small oval of Bowman Gray, one of the most spectacular circuits in the country. The rest of the regular season schedule is more adjustments than revolutions, with the presence of the Mexican round, on June 15.

The "mid-season tournament", new for this year 2025, will be held in Atlanta, Chicago, Sonoma, Dover and Indianapolis. It is the playoff schedule that has been remodeled the most, the last ten rounds of the season will begin with the Darlington race on August 31, followed by Gateway and Bristol, which make up the first phase. Then head to New Hampshire, Kansas and the Charlotte Roval, which will host the second elimination round. The third segment promises to be explosive, with Las Vegas, then Talladega and Martinsville. The championship finale, on November 2, will be held, as has been the case every year since 2020 on the oval in Phoenix, Arizona. In total, there are still 36 races that make up the official calendar of the NASCAR Cup Series, with two non-championship rounds (the Clash, and the All-Star round in May).
