By presenting this spoiler, the Nascar hopes to improve the general behavior of the cars to encourage overtaking.

If the tests prove conclusive, the spoiler could be introduced in competition as early as March.

“I like the way the car handles with this spoiler,” Biffle told ESPN. “You have to drive it a little differently coming out of corners. I don't want to jump to conclusions but the sensations remind me of old cars. I can't wait to find myself in the middle of a pack to find out how the car behaves in these conditions. »

The dimensions of the spoiler are not yet fixed (163,8 centimeters in width and 10,2 centimeters in height).
