Nascar – Ambrose still on pole at Sonoma

Marcos Ambrose signs his second consecutive pole of the season by being the fastest in qualifying at Sonoma. The Richard Petty Motorsports driver will start ahead of the Chevrolets of Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson.

Nascar – Ambrose still on pole at Sonoma

Marcos Ambrose shines in the qualifying exercise as he signs his second pole in a row by achieving a time of 1'15"203 in Sonoma. The driver of the No. 9 Ford is one tenth ahead of Jeff Gordon's No. 24 Chevrolet, while Jimmie Johnson will again start at the front, taking third place three tenths behind. Greg Biffle (Roush Fenway Racing) will start from fourth place ahead of the two Toyota of Michael Waltrip Racing led by Martin Truex Jr and Clint Bowyer.

Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) is ahead of his brother Kurt Busch (Phoenix Racing), while Matt Kenseth (Roush Fenway Racing) and Ryan Newman (Stewart-Haas Racing) complete the top ten. In difficulty this year, Juan-Pablo Montoya (Earhardt Ganassi Racing) will have the opportunity to highlight himself by starting from 12th place just behind Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway Racing). Brad Keselowski (Penske Racing) is responsible for placing the first Dodge in 13th position.
