Nascar – Brian Scott with Richard Petty Motorsports

After having driven seven seasons in Nascar Xfinity Series, Brian Scott has found a full-time drive in Sprint Cup. The former resident of Richard Childress Racing will join Richard Petty Motorsports where he will replace Sam Hornish Jr to play with Aric Almirola. It will take its first steps during the Goodyear tests carried out on Monday, December 14 in Homestead-Miami (Florida).

“We always think of Petty when we talk about Nascar”, commented the new recruit. “I've had a lot of fun racing in the Xfinity Series for seven years and I'm excited to take this next step. I've done a few Sprint Cup races over the last few years and I've learned a lot. I think I can aim for the title of “Rookie of the Year” next year and continue the consistency that RPM has built in recent seasons. »

Bria, Scott has 17 Sprint Cup starts. His best result in the Xfinity Series was a fourth place in the Championship in 2014, but he has never won in the discipline.
