Nascar – Brian Vickers returns with Michael Waltrip Racing

Brian Vickers will return this year in Nascar Sprint Cup Series avec la Michael Waltrip Racing. Le pilote de la Toyota n°55 a dû mettre un terme prématuré à sa saison l’an dernier après qu’un examen médical a révélé un nouveau caillot de sang. Le champion 2003 de la Nascar Busch Series (Nationwide) avait déjà dû s’éloigner des circuits en 2010 pour les mêmes soucis de santé. La saison 2014 sera ainsi sa première saison complète depuis celle disputée en 2011 où il a terminé 25e avec la Toyota du Red Bull Racing.

“It’s a special feeling to be back in business”, commented Brian Vickers who will take the wheel of the Camy next week at New Smyrna Speedway (Florida). “I can't wait to see if I will have the same feeling this year, that passion and that energy that I love, like what I felt the first time I came to Daytona. I think that will be the case. It's not often you hear a driver say they're excited about testing, but that's the case for me. I want to do some laps with the car. I've been missing it for three months. »
