Nascar – Dale Earnhardt Jr withdraws from New Hampshire

The Hendrick Motorsports team will have to do without Dale Earnhardt Jr. for the New Hampshire meeting this weekend. The son of legend Dale Earnhardt was forced to withdraw following concussion symptoms.

The American pilot was the victim of two accidents in Michigan and Daytona (Florida) recently and had recently consulted a specialist. “I wasn't feeling great the week before Kentucky and I thought maybe it was allergies.

I visited my family doctor who prescribed medication for allergies and a sinus infection. When that didn't help, we went further. Because of my symptoms and my history with concussions, and after my last crashes at Michigan and Daytona, I met with a neurological specialist.

After further evaluation, they felt it was best for me to forfeit. I'm disappointed to miss New Hampshire this weekend. I can't wait to start treatment with the goal of returning, as soon as the doctors say I'm ready. »

Hendrick Motorsports has already named Alex bowman as a replacement, he who plays part-time in the Xfinity Series within the JR Motorsports team.
