Denny Hamlin, winner of one of the two Can-Am Duels at Daytona (Florida) this Thursday, February 23, confirmed in the paddock of the American oval that he had extended his contract with Joe Gibbs Racing. If the duration of this extension has not been communicated, the pilot of the Toyota n°11 seems to want to continue his career for a long time with the JGR with which he has been evolving since his debut in Monster Energy Nascar Cup
The winner of the last edition of the Daytona 500 will also be able to count on his sponsor FedEx who has long supported him in his career.
" That's very good news, commented Denny Hamlin. We have had a great relationship for a dozen years. Playing in a single team with a sponsor for such a long time is something very rare. I wake up every morning thanking my lucky stars. »
Denny Hamlin had his best season in 2010 when he finished runner-up behind Jimmie Johnson. He has 29 victories at the highest level of Nascar and finished in 6th place in the Drivers' standings last year.
