Nascar – Erik Jones will replace Matt Kenseth at Joe Gibbs in 2018

Lined up this year for his first full season in Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series par la Furniture Row Racing sur la Toyota Camry n°77, Erik jones will be promoted in 2018, moving to the prestigious Joe Gibbs Racing team. The 2015 Camping World Truck Series champion will drive the No. 20 Toyota, currently entrusted to Matt Kenseth.

« It's a really exciting time in my career to move full-time to Joe Gibbs Racing in the Cup Series, and to continue to have with them the success I have had over the past few years, comments the future recruit.

I will always be grateful for the opportunity given to me by Barney Visser and everyone at Furniture Row Racing this year for my first full season in the Cup Series. I learned a lot, I had a great group of people around me every week to support me, and I was able to understand during my rookie season how to make my way in the championship. »

Matt Kenseth will not return to the Joe Gibbs Racing team in 2017, which leaves the future of the 2003 Nascar Cup Series champion in limbo for the moment. Furniture Row has not yet announced a replacement for Erik Jones, with only Martin Truex Jr confirmed in the No. 78 Toyota for 2018.
