Nascar – Furniture Row will field a 2nd car for Erik Jones

The rumor had been circulating since yesterday, Furniture Row put an end to the speculation this Sunday on the sidelines of the Watkins Glen (New York) event. The Denver, Colorado team today formalized the presence of a second Toyota Camry in 2017 in the premier division of the Nascar.

The car, which will sport the No. 77 and be sponsored by 5-hour Energy, will be entrusted to Erik jones, 2015 Trucks Series champion with Kyle Busch Motorsports and currently entered in the Xfinity Series with the Joe Gibbs Racing team, for all the events of the 2017 championship.

Jones has competed in three Sprint Cup Series events in his career, replacing Kyle Busch in May 2015 at Kansas, then Matt Kenseth at Texas and again at Phoenix last year, during the 2003 champion's suspension.

Furniture Row, previously in the Chevrolet clan, signed a partnership with Toyota, to enter the #78 Camry of Martin Truex Jr, which was recently extended for two more seasons with Barney Visser's team.
