Nascar – Gandon in the game at Watkins Glen

Team FJ worked well with Rick Ware Racing. After securing a place for Anthony Gandon for the Mid-Ohio event held on August 17, the organizer of the Nascar Whelen Euro Series managed to have a contract extension to also include the 23-year-old from Bayonne in the Watkins Glen road event, the Zippo 200 contested next weekend. After signing a contract to transform Euro Racecar into a purely official Nascar discipline, Team FJ is gradually forging links between Europe and the USA where the notion of motorsport is differently represented.

“Maybe we're as excited as Anthony! » , assures Jérôme Galpin, the general manager of Team FJ. “For us who created the Nascar Whelen Euro Series to offer opportunities to the United States, it is a dream come true to bring our first driver into a category as prestigious as the Nascar Nationwide Series. I am happy that this sector is being established and experiencing such rapid development. Day by day, I receive more and more proposals which, we can see, materialize. This month of August is the perfect illustration of the opportunities offered to European pilots since we start with our young 15-year-old pilots, Thomas Ferrando and Ulysse Delsaux, whom we engage on the Bowman Gray short-track in the regional disciplines, to finish with Anthony Gandon in the Nascar Nationwide Series! »
