Nascar – Gordon finally wins at Martinsville

Jeff Gordon (Hendrick Motorsports) takes his first victory of the season by winning at Martinsville where he has already won 7 times. The driver of the No. 24 Chevrolet equals the record of his teammate Jimmie Johnson who is content with the top five after being kept in check by Brad Keselowski (Penske Racing). Matt Kenseth (Joe Gibbs) regains the lead of the Chase tied with the five-time champion, narrowly retaining 2nd place against Clint Bowyer (Michael Waltrip Racing).

Le perdant est Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) qui a chuté à la 15e position après avoir réalisé une mauvaise fin de course. Le pilote de la Toyota n°18 se retrouve en 5e position du Championnat derrière Jeff Gordon et Kevin Harvick (Richard Childress Racing).
