Nascar – Hamlin takes on Talladega for his 300th

Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing) takes his first victory of the season (the Sprint Unlimited and the Budweiser Duels at Daytona do not count for the Championship) by winning the Aaron's 499 contested at Talladega Superspeedway. The 2010 runner-up scored a success to celebrate his 300th Sprint Cup start by taking the lead in the final laps before a yellow flag was waved in the final loop following contact in the peloton at the finishing line.

The pilot of the Toyota n°11 devance Greg Biffle (Roush Fenway Racing), tandis que Clint Bowyer et Brian Vickers placent les deux Camry de la Michael Waltrip Racing dans un top cinq complété par A.J Allmendinger (JTG Daugherty Racing).
