Nascar – Harvick will replace Newman in 2014

After more than a decade with Richard Childress Racing, Kevin Harvick will leave his team at the end of the season to join Stewart-Haas Racing. The driver of the No. 29 Chevrolet will bring his title sponsor Budweiser with him. The 37-year-old Californian has a long career with the RCR since he played his first season in 2001 following the death of Dale Earnhardt. After 21 victories won in the first category of the Nascar, Kevin Harvick is having one of his best seasons since he currently occupies fourth place in the Championship after winning twice.

However, Stewart-Haas Racing has three cars this year with the eponymous driver boss, Danica Patrick and Ryan Newman. It is the latter who will be the victim of the arrival of Kevin Harvick. “We are not ready to expand with a fourth team”, recognized Tony Stewart. “Unfortunately, this will be the last year we have Ryan with us (who has been with the team since 2009). I am bringing a new friend into our structure, but I know I will lose another at the end of the year. »
