Nascar – Harvick wins by a hair in Phoenix

Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing) scored his eighth victory at Phoenix International Raceway (Arizona), his fifth in six starts, after a face-to-face with Carl Edwards (Joe Gibbs Racing) in the Good Sam 500.

The 2014 champion of the Nascar Sprint Cup dominated the second half of the race and seemed untouchable until Kasey Kahne (Hendrick Motorsports) caused a yellow flag with seven laps to go. Although the driver of the No. 4 Chevrolet retained the advantage during the final restart, he had to resist a final attack from the Toyota n°19 to win with a hundredth margin.

Joe Gibbs Racing put in another great performance on this one-mile oval as Denny Hamlin completed the top three ahead of pole sitter Kyle Busch. Dale Earnhardt Jr (Hendrick Motorsports) signs another top five. Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports) falls just short of the top ten.
