Nascar – Hornish Jr hopes to return to Sprint Cup

Sam Hornish Jr.? the three-time champion IndyCar Series, winner of the 500 Indy 2006 and runner-up NASCAR Nationwide Series 2013? is currently in a delicate position since it is still not guaranteed to ride next year. However, the situation is not desperate since he has received offers in recent days.

?It?s good to receive offers because for a while it seemed like I didn?t have any opportunities, confided Hornish Jr. It's a bit like with girls. When you are in a relationship they all want to have you and when you don't have a girlfriend it?s difficult to find one? »

Without major support in Nationwide, the Penske Racing team decided to reduce its participation to a single car in 2014. A major difficulty for Sam Hornish Jr. even if, at 34 years old, he does not want to stop there.

“I hope to announce something to you in a few weeks, before Daytona, declared the Ohio native. I prefer to drive with very good equipment in a few races instead of doing a whole season in an average car,” he concluded.

The American, who started in the NASCAR Sprint Cup in 2008, would ideally like to finalize his plans before the first test at Daytona on January 9. Now much better prepared than during his debut in the premier category, Hornish Jr. could well create a surprise during certain races next year.
