Nascar – Joey Logano hits the jackpot in Kansas

Joey Logano (Team Penske) escaped the misfortunes that befell several title contenders at Kansas Speedway. The driver of the No. 22 Ford was the biggest leader of the race and resisted in his last stint the return of Kyle Larson (Chip Ganassi Racing) who continued to shine by signing his fourth top five of sharp. His fifth success of the season allows him to get the ticket for the next round of the Chase.

Other contenders for the title have not been as successful. Hendrick Motorsports was very impacted. Jimmie Johnson was sent into the wall by Clint Bowyer (Michael Waltrip Racing) in the first part of the event while his teammates Dale Earnhardt Jr and Kasey Kahne brushed the wall. Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing) was again struck by bad luck when he encountered a problem with his car forcing him to return to the pits, believing it to be a puncture.
