NASCAR – Justin Allgaier will miss the All-Star Race

Justin Allgaier has officially announced his non-participation in next weekend's All-Star Race, a non-championship race. This decision was taken by mutual agreement with the Hscott team, not to race to save the car, but also to recover from some minor injuries, notably to the elbow.

“We are a small team and we prefer to focus only on races that earn points,” explains the American driver. This is the best thing we can do. We will concentrate on the next race. There is too great a risk of mechanical breakdown. » explains the 27-year-old pilot.

The Illinois driver has indeed been involved in several crashes during the last two races and the Hscott team only enters one car in the championship.

Despite the disadvantage that this package could cost him, Allgaier remains positive: “The others will be able to train a little more, it’s true. But the Charlotte (North Carolina) track is one of those that is constantly evolving, particularly with the temperature. What is really important for us is to ride there the same week as the race. »

Justin Allgaier and his team will be present again during the Coca-Cola 600 round (May 25).
