Nascar – Kenseth benefits from Johnson’s misfortunes

Kurt Busch (Furniture Row Racing) follows his brother in sixth position. The driver of the No. 78 Chevrolet caused a neutralization at the start of the race after sending Brad Keselowski (Penske Racing) into a spin. The reigning champion was then hit head-on by Greg Biffle (Roush Fenway Racing). Both drivers were able to return to the track during the final laps to save a few points. Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing) also saw his race destroyed by hitting the wall. After long minutes of waiting, the driver of the No. 11 Toyota reassured about his state of health.

Jimmie Johnson was able to save a top ten finish after a breathtaking comeback. In a few laps, the No. 48 Chevrolet moved up from 25th to 9th position behind Martin Truex Jr (Michael Waltrip Racing) and Jeff Gordon (Hendrick Motorsports).
