Anthony Kumpen is satisfied with his performance at Daytona (Florida) where he competed in the first event of the Xfinity Series season, the Powershares QQQ 300, finishing in 26th place after managing to move into the top ten. The Belgian who made his debut in the second division of the Nascar in 2015 saw his race disrupted by a collision with debris damaging his car.
“It was a fantastic experience”, commented the 2014 Nascar Whelen Euro Series champion. “The car was perfect but we were a bit unlucky with the debris. However, we learned a lot. The car came back virtually intact and it's a good result for the team. »
Anthony Kumpen welcomes the Nexteer program set up by the Nascar Whelen Euro Series allowing him to compete in events in the USA. “This is something that young European drivers should seriously study because Nascar racing has no equal”, added the Belgian who will compete in a new season in European Nascar this season.
