Nascar – Kyle Busch and Logano explained themselves after Las Vegas

The race of the Nascar Cup Series played last weekend on Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Nevada) left its mark. A collision between Joey Logano and Kyle Busch on the final lap led to a fight a few minutes later in the pits between driver Joe Gibbs and several people from Team Penske.

The 2015 champion left the track with a bloody face, but the stewards decided not to sanction the drivers. The two drivers were able to discuss the incident in an atmosphere more conducive to dialogue this week, firstly through a call from Joey Logano, and secondly through a meeting organized with officials.

“Nascar just wanted to make sure we discussed it face to face and that was a very good thing on their part., said Joey Logano, pole winner at Phoenix Raceway (Arizona) this weekend. I myself made the decision to call him first. My approach was simply to be honest. »

“I explained to him that it was just a mistake on my part. He asked me to see the telemetry data and I was able to provide it to him », added the driver of the No. 22 Ford.

Kyle Busch, for his part, remained very quiet when answering journalists' questions, the resident of Joe Gibbs Racing contenting himself with asserting that “everything was in order”.
