Nascar – Kyle Busch wins at the wire at Dover

After Loudon (New Hampshire), Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) won his second victory in Nascar Cup Series en s’imposant sur le Monster Mile de Dover (Delaware). Le pilote de la Toyota Camry n°18, vainqueur pour la quatrième fois cette année (41e succès de sa carrière), a notamment profité de pneus plus frais et du trafic pour dépasser la Chevrolet n°24 de Chase Elliott (Hendrick Motorsports) qui espérait décrocher un premier succès dans la discipline.

Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsport), the record holder for victories on this oval with 11 successes, completed the top three ahead of Martin Truex Jr (Furniture Row Racing) and Kyle Larson (Chip Ganassi Racing).

At the end of this first phase of the playoffs, Ricky Stenhouse Jr (Roush Fenway Racing) remains in the title race with a few points lead over Ryan Newman, finishing in 19th place. Kurt Busch (Stewart-Haas Racing) saw its last hopes dashed by receiving a drive through for having cut the entry lane to the pits. Austin Dillon (Richard Childress Racing) is also giving up on the title this year, as is Kasey Kahne (Hendrick Motorsports).
