Nascar – Kyle Larson will replace Montoya in 2014

Earnhardt Ganassi Racing announced several weeks ago that Juan-Pablo Montoya's contract would not be extended for next season. As the Colombian looks for a steering wheel for 2014, with possibly a return to IndyCar, the team has confirmed the arrival of young Kyle Larson, aged 21. It didn't take long for the American to shine, winning the K&N Pro Series East last year when he was just a rookie. Within the Turner Scott Motorsports Nationwide Series, Kyle Larson is still making sparks as he currently occupies eighth place in the Championship with six top 5s and 13 top 1s on the clock.

“I don’t think I could be happier than I am now.”, commented the new recruit from Earnhardt Ganassi Racing. “The last few years with Chip have been hectic. I learned a lot and I can't wait to take a new step by riding in Nascar Sprint Cup Series. » The boss of the eponymous team reconsidered the decision to opt for Kyle Larson. “We believe Kyle has a bright future ahead of him in the Nascar Sprint Cup. Since we signed with him, he has done nothing to stop us from making this decision. It's a big day for us. »
