Based on the actual model in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series since 2014, the Chase format (name of the events following the regular season) will be introduced in the Xfinity and Camping World Trucks Series divisions from 2016, the American authorities announced.

Each championship will be punctuated by seven races, divided into two rounds of three events at the end of which four drivers will compete for the title during the final organized at Miami-Homestead in Florida.

A victory in the first 26 races in events of the season.

Two wins in Dash 4 Cash (a series of races with additional winnings) will also qualify. A victory in the Round of 12 / Round of 8 guarantees passage into the next round, the modality also applying between the Round of 8 / Round of 6 to reach the final.

Drivers who qualify for the Chase will have their point total set at 2000 for the first round, plus three bonus points per victory in the regular season. The points count will be set at 3000 for the next round and 4000 for the Miami final.
