(2011 and 2012) in the Sprint Cup and six with the Nationwide.
The Richard Petty Motorsports resident would be likely to return to V8 Supercars where he won two titles in 2003 and 2004 and where he has 25 wins. “Marcos will always be part of the family,” commented the boss of the eponymous team. “He came to the USA with his loved ones and dedicated his time to giving his best every weekend. I couldn't ask for more from Marcos regarding his commitment both on and off the track with our team and partners. He is also a family person. I respect that and he will be missed. »
Marcos Ambrose will not have the slightest chance of fighting for the title in his final season in Nascar since he failed to qualify in the Chase. But the Australian has still signed three top 5 and five top 10 finishes this year and currently occupies 23rd place in the Championship.
