Nascar – Matt Kenseth winner at Loudon

Absent from Victory Lane since the meeting in Dover (Delaware), Matt Kenseth (Joe Gibbs Racing – Toyota) signed its second success of the year by winning on the Loudon track in New Hampshire.

The 2003 champion of the discipline waited until the last 50 laps to move to the front against previous leader Martin Truex Jr (Furniture Row Racing – Toyota) who had long anticipated victory, before encountering gear lever problems.

Despite several race neutralizations, including that on lap 284 for an incident involving Ryan Newman (Richard Childress Racing – Chevrolet), Carl Edwards (Joe Gibbs Racing – Chevrolet), Kasey Kahne (Hendrick Motorsports – Chevrolet) and Kyle Larson (Chip Ganassi Racing – Chevrolet), who spun, Kenseth remains in control and maintains the advantage over Joey Logano (Team Penske – Ford) at the last restart, and will not be worried again until the checkered flag.

Tony Stewart (Stewart-Haas Racing – Chevrolet) finally finished second ahead of Logano and Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing – Chevrolet). The top 5 is completed by Greg Biffle (Roush Fenway – Ford). Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing – Chevrolet), who led the most laps this Sunday, finally finished in eighth place.
