NASCAR Nationwide – Matt Kenseth wins in Miami

It had been more than a year since Matt Kenseth had achieved any success in the Nationwide Series, since Kansas in October 2013. Last night on the Miami-Homestead oval in Florida, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver won his 29th victory in the discipline ahead of Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs) and Kyle Larson (Turner Scott Motorsports). Chase Elliott (JR Motorsports), crowned champion during the last round in Phoenix, finished 17th while Elliott Sadler (Joe Gibbs Racing) took third place overall from Brian Scott (Richard Childress Racing) at the end of the latter lifting.

In terms of titles, the Owners crown went to Roger Penske, thanks to Brad Keselowski's 8th place. Among the manufacturers, it is Chevrolet which wins a new title. The Nationwide Series will now give way to the XFinity Series in 2015? following the change of title sponsor for the second division of the NASCAR.
