Nascar – Ragan and Gilliland extend to Front Row

Front Row Motorsports has re-signed David Ragan and David Gilliland in 2014, with the team having extended its partnerships for the next season. The FRM distinguished itself this year by signing a superb double at Talladega last May with the victory of the driver of the No. 34. Although both drivers are outside the top 20 in the Championship, the Front Row is on track to have its best season since its continuous presence in the discipline for 5 years. “It has been a very important year for us and we are very happy to continue with our two drivers”, commented team owner Bob Jenkins. “We are improving our program by attracting more sponsors and setting higher and higher goals each year. »

David Ragan took victory at Talladega last May as the Sprint Cup field returns there this weekend. The 27-year-old driver will be competing in his third consecutive year with the team. “This first victory with the Front Row was immense. But we've made many other strides that may not have made the headlines, qualifying better and improving on the 1,5 mile ovals, which provides a big difference in performance each week. »

His teammate David Gilliland, 37, returns to the team with which he has been present since his debut. “It’s clearly no longer the same team as the one at the beginning”, adds the one who remains on 2 second places for best result. “We have made great progress and I am proud to have been a part of it. We now have almost a year of learning with Generation 6 and I think the potential for next year is even greater. »
