Nascar – Truex Jr dominates in Kentucky

The leader found himself in difficulty by being the only one not to return to the pits, but he managed to maintain the advantage after the restart until the race was definitively stopped following a collision in the peloton.

Martin Truex Jr, who celebrated his first victory at Kentucky Speedway and the 10th of his career, won ahead of Kyle Larson (Chip Ganassi Racing) and Chase Elliott (Hendrick Motorsports) after winning the first two segments. The Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas of Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch rounded out the top five.

Jimmie Johnson again lacked success since the seven-time champion of the Nascar Cup Series retired after being hit by Brad Keselowski (Team Penske) in distress in his No. 2 Ford Fusion.
