Tony Stewart hits double at Loudon

Tony Stewart won his second consecutive race at Loudon in a race where fuel consumption was once again the deciding factor. Denny Hamlin is already in a tough spot for the Chase.

Tony Stewart couldn't have started the Chase better. After his victory last week on the Chicago oval, the driver of the No. 14 Chevrolet won in New Hampshire. Clint Bowyer (Richard Childress Racing) led the race but his No. 33 Chevrolet ran out of fuel two laps from the finish. The opposite scenario happened last year on this circuit, the loser came to greet the winner with a smile.

Everything is going well, however, for Brad Keselowski, who finished second after taking the advantage over Greg Biffle (Roush Fenway Racing) on the very last lap of the race. The Penske Racing resident climbs into third place behind Kevin Harvick (Richard Childress Racing). Jeff Gordon (Hendrick Motorsports) finished in a satisfactory fourth position ahead of Bryan Vickers (Red Bull Racing).

The Roush Fenway Racing drivers did well with Matt Kenseth sixth ahead of David Ragan and Carl Edwards. Juan-Pablo Montoya (Earnhardt Ganassi Racing) finished ninth ahead of Regan Smith (Furniture Row Racing), who completed the top ten.

Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports) suffered contact with Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing). His unbalanced No. 48 Chevrolet only allowed him to finish 18th while the No. 18 Toyota failed to finish just outside the top ten.
