Villeneuve wants more!

On the Gilles Villeneuve circuit, where he only won once in 1993 during his Formula Atlantic season, Jacques Villeneuve qualified in sixth place. Sunday afternoon, the race was less clear.

The Canadian has always fought at the forefront. But the showers, which accompanied the progress of the drivers, added a collection of yellow flags.

“It was a wild ride!” » commented Villeneuve. “Luckily, the cars are strong! I think we put on a great show for the fans. We experienced it all, even riding in the wet and dry. »

The former World Champion F1 finished in fourth place without being able to worry Carl Edwards, winner, and Marcos Ambrose, leader until the last lap.

“During the last ten laps, everyone was touching each other, we really had to survive. The last four or five loops were very difficult. The ?rain? tires? started to move a lot on a track that was drying out. »

From now on, Jacques Villeneuve will be able to start hunting for sponsors again to be able to line up in the Sprint Cup, the premier category that he discovered in 2007 during two races.
