A new manufacturer will soon appear in the GT4 world. Popular with many brands, the category will welcome the upcoming arrival of Nissan Nismo. The Japanese firm revealed its new weapon, the Nissan Z GT4, on Tuesday. Based on the all-new Nissan Z, which has been very popular since its release in 2022, the GT4 version will be equipped with a 6-liter twin-turbo VR3DDTT V30 engine. The Yokohama brand's engineers also optimized the chassis and suspension of the sports coupe, as well as its aerodynamics.

“Motorsport for Nissan is an expression of our passion and unrivaled expertise. The Nissan Z continues to maintain its position as an exciting sports car that fascinates drivers with its driving dynamics and flexible powertrain, said Ashwani Gupta, general manager of operations at Nissan. We are confident that this Nissan Z GT4 will be ready to write a new chapter in the Nissan Z's more than 50-year-old heritage of speed. »

The Nissan Z GT4 was developed at Nismo's engineering facilities, during multiple track testing sessions. It also served as a test vehicle competing in the 24 Hours of Fuji in June, as well as other Super Taikyu Series events at Motegi and more. Detailed vehicle specifications will be announced at the 2022 SEMA Show in the United States, November 1-4. Vehicle deliveries will begin in the first half of 2023 and will be able to run from next season.
