New operation for Alex Zanardi

The doctors in charge ofAlessandro zanardi announced last night that they had carried out a long 5-hour facial reconstruction operation to continue the care of the 53-year-old Italian, who was seriously injured last month during a handbike event.

His condition remains stable from a cardio-respiratory and metabolic point of view, severe from a neurological point of view, and the prognosis remains guarded.
