He's waited a long time for her, she's finally here! This Saturday, Alessandro Ghiretti climbed to the highest step of the podium, for the first time in his career in Porsche Carrera Cup France. The Martinet by Alméras driver fought fiercely to snatch this victory. The 2021 Porsche France Junior is ahead of Dorian Boccolacci (CLRT) and Benjamin Paque (CLRT).

At the start, Alessandro Ghiretti did the job! With a better reaction time than the pole-sitter, the Martinet by Alméras driver takes a lead over the double reigning champion. Also off to a good start, Dorian Boccolacci even moved to the inside at the first corner, next to his former teammate. Side by side but better placed at the start of the second turn, it is the Martinet by Alméras driver who remains in control of the peloton.

In the third corner, Marvin Klein took advantage of the fight between Alessandro Ghiretti and Dorian Boccolacci to move away from his runner-up from last season. The TFT Racing driver fails to overtake his CLRT counterpart and must remain in third position. Benjamin Paque got the better of Mathys Jaubert to find himself in fourth place.

In the peloton, Christophe Stone and Victor Blugeon touch each other. In their incident, Maxence Maurice is also involved. The Martinet by Alméras pilot and that ofIMSA Performance are forced to give up. In order to evacuate the cars safely, the safety car enters the track for around ten minutes.

At the restart, Dorian Boccolacci places himself inside Alessandro Ghiretti during T1 braking. The Martinet by Alméras driver is forced to go through the loophole but remains leader. Marvin Klein took the opportunity to get back in touch with the two leaders. The CLRT driver puts pressure on his former teammate. The two touch each other and Dorian Boccolacci even goes out into the gravel trap at the exit of T12. The vice-champion nevertheless does not lose any place.

Disaster for Marvin Klein at mid-race. Victim of a technical problem, the TFT Racing driver slowed down and lost numerous positions. The reigning champion is forced to enter the pits to sort it out before leaving at the back of the pack. This benefits Benjamin Paque who temporarily climbs onto the podium.

Ten minutes from the end, yellow flag on the Barcelona circuit! Sébastien Poisson, although leading the Am category, lost control of his Porsche at turn twelve. The safety car even made a second appearance on the track after Alexandre Leroy went out in T1. The TFT Racing driver spun and got stuck in the gravel trap. Taken out by the marshals, the Belgian leaves at the back of the pack. Having passed through the pits while leading the Am category, Ludovic Loeul leaves the lead to Gilles Colombani (Team Clairet Sport).

The C1 resumes for barely two minutes! Even though he is very well placed, Dorian Boccolacci is unable to catch up with the leader at the first corner as he did previously. Despite pressure from Mathys Jaubert, Benjamin Paque retains his third place. Alessandro Ghiretti goes for his first career success ahead of his former teammate Dorian Boccolacci. On the last step of the podium, Benjamin Paque also won the rookie category ahead of Mathys Jaubert and Louis Rousset. Marvin Klein finally finished nineteenth.

In Pro-Am, after a canceled penalty Bashar Mardini (Tsunami RT) finally won. Jérôme Boullery (Racing Technology) finished second ahead of Marc Guillot (Herrero Racing). Among the Ams, the favorites Sébastien Poisson and Ludovic Loeul experienced problems. This benefits Gilles Colombani (Team Clairet Sport) who wins in his first race. Jonas Zelger (Tsunami RT) and Mathieu Casalonga (F4 Events Motorsport) complete the podium.

The second race of the weekend will take place this Sunday from 9 a.m.
