The 33e edition of the Porsche Carrera Cup France starts this weekend in Barcelona (Catalonia). Two years after the last appearance of the championship in Catalonia, the 29 drivers will begin their season on a track well known in the world of motor sports. Small change on the circuit with the removal of the last chicane. Instead, cars will take the double right before the start/finish line, usually taken by the MotoGP.
On the entry side, double title holder Marvin Klein is back with the ambition of conquering a third crown. The former CLRT driver joined the Gers team TFT Racing during the off-season to take on a new challenge. His runner-up, Dorian Boccolacci, is also there again but with another team, CLRT. Alessandro Ghiretti (Martinet by Alméras), third last year, also hopes to fight for the title.
It will be necessary to follow other pilots such as Louis Perrot (IMSA LS Group Performance) or the Junior Porsche France 2023, Mathys Jaubert (TFT Racing). In the Pro-Am and Am category, the competitors are more numerous and the battle is likely to be fierce in the peloton. Response from the first free practice sessions on Friday.
