Sometimes it doesn't take much to change your mindset. Arriving in Dijon for the second round of the 2025 season, Porsche Carrera Cup France champion Jérôme Boullery wasn't at his best mentally. It must be said that the two-time champion of the discipline had a difficult opening meeting. Despite a podium finish in Race 2, his retirement from the first event had already caused him to fall behind in the championship.
« To be honest, I was approaching this weekend a bit negatively. Clearly, I was demotivated by the way the year had started. For us Gentlemen, we don't see racing like young people who want to make a career. There's personal life, work, other things to think about.
However, once the helmet was on, the Racing Technology driver found his usual bite. Dominated in qualifying by his rival Marc Guillot (ABM), the Nantes driver made an excellent start to take the reins of the Pro-Am category.
After thirty minutes of controlled play, Jérôme Boullery unlocked his victory tally this season. It's really cool to win a race in Dijon at Marc's because it's clearly his territory. After my good start, the pace was there. I'm very happy, now we have to confirm tomorrow in Race 2. I know Marc will be back and will be back in the fight."
Having forgotten the state of mind at the beginning of the article, Jérôme Boullery has now found all his motivation again: " I'm not going to deprive myself of spoiling the party a second time!"
