PCCF – Hugo Chevalier returns five years later: “Above all, I want to please myself”

In the paddock of the Porsche Carrera Cup France, Hugo Chevalier takes on the role of a comeback driver. Lined up at Martinet by Alméras in 2018 and 2019, the Drômois then drove in GT3 and GT4. In 2025, he returns to where his GT career began: “Racetivity came in last year and had a great first year. My teammate Eric Debard wanted a Pro in the second car to help him with the setup. I had this great opportunity in this great championship so it was a chance to do the season.”

Yes "the spirit of the category remains the same”, One thing has changed diametrically: the car. The 991 GT3 Cup of 2019 has given way to the 992 GT3 Cup. A car that Hugo Chevalier has tested on a few races ofEndurance in the Ultimate Cup European Series in 2024 but never in sprint and without ABS.This Tuesday was the first real day where we worked in PCCF conditions. The team is still young in terms of experience so it is also a new challenge for me. As the leader of the team, I have to help them progress as well.” 

A month before the first round on the Barcelona track, the wearer of the number 2 has set himself a single objective: " Above all, I want to please myself. When there is pleasure, there is often a result. It is difficult to say where I will be in the hierarchy at the first meeting. I hope to finish in the top-5 but we will see once there. I do not worry too much about it.”
