PCCF – Klein not on the podium in Barcelona: “I have to succeed in my starts”

For the first time since 2020, Marvin Klein did not reach the podium during a round of Porsche Carrera Cup France. Arriving at TFT Racing during the winter, the double reigning champion knew that repeating his performances at CLRT would be difficult. However, it was he who took pole position.

In the race, the Varois lost a lot at the start. Deposited by Alessandro Ghiretti during C1, Marvin Klein saw Benjamin Paque and Louis Rousset pass him at the first turn in C2. “ We need to analyze our takeoff because both were not good. If we want to fight up front, I absolutely have to succeed. I know how to roll when I'm in the lead, now I have to do everything to get to this position. Today, we take this penalty because I got off to a bad start. »

Taking advantage of the vagaries of the race and his very good pace, Marvin Klein took the checkered flag in second position. But the TFT Racing driver was handed a five-second penalty for failing to respect track limits. “ I was close to the riders in front so you go out a little bit but that's enough to get penalized. It cost me a podium… »

However, the wearer of No. 1 retains a lot of positives after this first weekend with TFT Racing. “ We have a great rhythm, the speed is there. You have to put everything in order to continue to progress. We've ticked the pole position box now, we have to win! At Magny-Cours, we will try to repeat our performance in qualifying and get off to a good start. » The appointment is made!
