In 2021, Dylan Pereira finished second in the 24 Hours of Le Mans en LMGTE Am.

« The team brought me here so that I could win. I am a Supercup champion, no one drives faster than me in Cup. I will also help and coach the Mtech Competition drivers. If we win, it's a great showcase for them and for me. »

From the first free practice sessions, he quickly stood out by setting the best time in EL1. However, the waiting around him does not add to his stress. “ On the contrary, it motivates me even more! If you have confidence in yourself, if you know that you are one of the best, then you move forward more calmly. »

Beaten by Marvin Klein this Thursday during the second free session, the Mtech Competition driver admits that his TFT Racing counterpart, as well as Dorian Boccolacci (CLRT) will be his main rivals. “ Marvin (Small) won in the Supercup. Dorian Boccolacci has made podiums, notably in Monaco. They go really fast, you'll have to be on top of your game to beat them. » The three men know each other well having competed against each other in the Porsche Supercup last season.

Useful experience on this track

Regardless of the disciplines in which they have competed, each driver affirms it: having already done Le Mans in real life is clearly an advantage. Dylan Pereira is certainly the one who has done the most laps in Sarthe since he completed the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the wheel of a Aston Martin. " If you know the circuit, you already know this feeling of speed. This is the most difficult point to grasp because you are never as fast as here. It only takes a few passes to get back into the habit. Then, there is data, on-board camera videos that you can use to remember what you did before. Confidence is very important at Le Mans. »

Even if he already knows the places well, Dylan Pereira also wants to win to make history. “ A victory at Le Mans is always special. But this year is the centenary of the event. There are hundreds of thousands of people, all the builders, it’s going to be huge! » The Luxembourger would like to have his national anthem played, to crown his success, this Saturday at the end of the 45 minutes of racing.
