PCCF – Le Mans: Pereira wins at the end of a crazy race!

  • At the start, Dorian Boccolacci took off perfectly and retained the lead. Behind the CLRT driver, his teammate Benjamin Paque attacks Marvin Klein (TFT Racing). The two cut the Dunlop chicane and Alessandro Ghiretti (Martinet by Alméras) in turn tries to overtake them. He passes the Belgian but the latter tries to brake him at the Mulsanne chicane. Too much on the attack, the leader of the rookie championship lost control of his car and spun, he returned to the back of the peloton.
  • The fight for the top-5 is fierce between Louis Perrot (IMSA LS Group Performance), Mathys Jaubert (TFT Racing) and Dennis Hauger (Porsche Experience Racing). The pilot of Formula 2 performs a superb maneuver to pass his opponents. A few moments later, the Norwegian failed to brake and caught up with his Porsche at the last minute despite going through the gravel trap. On his return to the track, he hit the IMSA LS Group Performance driver and both were forced to enter the pits.
  • After a quarter of an hour of racing, Marvin Klein put enormous pressure on the leader, Dorian Boccolacci. The double reigning champion remains glued to his runner-up. Dylan Pereira and Alessandro Ghiretti are gradually getting closer to the leading duo.
  • Huge misunderstanding on the Le Mans circuit just before halfway! As the drivers entered a slow zone, the green flag was waved. If not everyone was attentive, some had seen it clearly like Maxence Maurice (IMSA LS Group Performance) and Christophe Stone (Martinet by Alméras) who passed countless cars and took control of the Pro-Am category. The resident of Martinet by Alméras even overtook the 2021 Am champion.
  • This also surprised the leading men since Dorian Boccolacci lost three places and the provisional podium. Marvin Klein took the lead ahead of Alessandro Ghiretti and Dylan Pereira. The Junior PCCF 2021 also gained two positions in history. He was chasing the leader. The first four are wheel to wheel and all can claim the final podium. At Mulsanne, Alessandro Ghiretti places himself outside Marvin Klein and crosses him on the way out to pass in front of him. Dylan Pereira also gains a place. But the championship leader made a mistake a few moments later, the resident of Martinet by Alméras falling back to fourth place. The Luxembourger finds himself in the lead.
  • At the start of the last ten minutes, the suspense is complete! Dylan Pereira resists against Marvin Klein. This allows the next two, Dorian Boccolacci and Alessandro Ghiretti, to get back together. The TFT Racing driver lives up to the Supercup champion. Less well placed, he remains second. In the last lap, the two are side by side again but the Frenchman cannot find the solution.
  • Dylan Pereira is going for a magnificent victory at Le Mans. Marvin Klein must settle for second place ahead of Dorian Boccolacci. The championship leader, Alessandro Ghiretti, finished fourth.
  • Among the rookies, renowned success for Mathys Jaubert! The 2023 Junior PCCF had a very good race to finish fifth overall and first rookie. The TFT Racing resident is ahead of Louis Rousset (CLRT) and Benjamin Paque (CLRT), who finished the race despite his mistake.
  • In Pro-Am, the leaders were not spared. Poleman, Marc Guillot (Herrero Racing) made a mistake when going out into the gravel trap. For his part, Jérôme Boullery (Racing Technology) spun in the middle of a fight. The reigning champion nevertheless saves the points for third place. The laurels go to Ryan Ratcliffe (Team Parker Racing) in the general and to Christophe Lapierre in the French classification. In PCCF, the five-time champion is ahead of Maxence Maurice.
  • Among the Ams, victory for CLRT thanks to Jean-Philippe Gambaro. Julien Fébreau is a very good second! Ludovic Loeul (Porsche Lorient Racing) completes the podium. Sébastien Poisson (ABM) was involved in an accident preventing him from finishing the race.
