Lors de votre toute première course en Porsche Carrera Cup France, vous avez gagné ! Vous attendiez-vous à un tel résultat ?

Not really ! Given the level of the drivers in the championship, who have all my respect, it's difficult. We started at the front in Pro-Am and my start was pretty good. I managed my race well, especially the safety car, to give myself the means to win.

You have also discovered this category. What do you think of the PCCF?

That's great ! I still enjoy driving in Europe, in a Carrera Cup. It's my first season in the French division and it's really racing! I'm happy to be here.

One of your main rivals is Jérôme Boullery, reigning champion. How nice is it to have already beaten him?

Yes, he is a great competitor. During the second race in Barcelona, I had a problem with my car which slowed me down a little so I couldn't play for victory. He won but I hope to fight him as much as possible.

This weekend we are at Magny-Cours, a route known to all French people. Do you see this as a disadvantage for you?

Of course, it's their circuit! I live in Dubai, so if we drove there, I could do it with my eyes closed. But hey, that’s part of the challenge. I came here for the first time during pre-season testing. We are in the right tempo for one lap. On the race pace, on the other hand, the others will surely be better. Their experience will help them, I don't have it. If I make a podium in both races, it will be a fantastic result!

What do you think of the track?

She's old-school! Very technical which reminds me of the slopes in Italy, Germany or Belgium. It's a real racing circuit.
